Service Opportunities
Eucharistic Ministers and Eucharistic Visitors assist the clergy in distributing Holy Communion and in bringing the sacrament to those who are ill, homebound, or in the hospital.
Lectors are selected to read the lessons and offer the Prayers of the People during services with clarity and conviction.
The Altar Guild arranges flowers and candles, polishes metal vessels and liturgical ware, cleans and cares for linens and vestments, and prepares chancel for services.
St. Ann’s Choir offers anthems and supports the congregation in the musical portion of the liturgy. Children’s Choir meets regularly and prepares for special presentations on selected Sundays.
Ushers perform a special ministry of greeting and hospitality, as they are the first to offer welcome to visitors and to provide information.
Coffee Hour leaders provide an informal environment of fellowship that invites parishioners to greet each other and become acquainted with visitors.
The Verger undertakes duties necessary to preserve the order and beauty of the liturgy by attending to the ceremonial necessities that make the worship experience sacred and dignified.
Parish Health Committee welcomes parishioners who are concerned with the health-care needs and priorities of the congregation and its awareness of how to maintain a healthy, productive life.
Gardening welcomes volunteers and enthusiasts to assist with seasonal work in the church’s gardens.
